• Rockland Fire, EMS commended for Robbins Lumber response (penbaypilot.com) — Union served as a key staging point for Rockland Fire and EMS crews rushing to the devastating May 15 Robbins Lumber mill fire in Searsmont, helping them reach the scene about 15 minutes faster. Rockland’s council has now formally commended those responders for their grueling overnight work, lifesaving rescues, and care for injured firefighters during one of the region’s most serious recent emergencies.
