• Waterville board approves Amazon distribution center (spectrumlocalnews.com) — Waterville’s Planning Board has approved a 159,000-square-foot Amazon distribution center off Junction Road, a project expected to bring 150-200 jobs and heavy daily traffic to the area. The mostly Waterville-based site, partly in Sidney, now awaits a final vote from Sidney’s Planning Board on Monday as officials and residents weigh economic benefits against concerns over noise, congestion, and pollution. 
• Softball Recap: Erskine Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past (maxpreps.com) — Erskine Academy’s softball team, which logged a 10-run win over Waterville earlier this season, has snapped a three-game skid with a 6-0 shutout of Spruce Mountain. Behind a two-hit shutout from pitcher Kelsie Dunn and big hits from Ryleigh French, the Eagles improved to 11-6 and now prepare for a high-scoring Lake Region squad.
