Note: Organizers announced Thursday that the parade would be shortened due to the heat wave.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., the City of Annapolis will host its annual parade on July 4, 2026, in the downtown area. The parade will kick off on Amos Garrett Boulevard and continue down West Street before making a left onto Calvert Street to St. John's Street.
"Marching bands, community groups, and vintage vehicles take over downtown," reads an announcement from the city.
The parade will be followed by a performance at 7:45 p.m. by the Naval Academy band. The concert takes place at the State House Grounds (100 State Circle).
A fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. over Spa Creek rounds out the night.
