Eatery Reflects On Its First Annapolis Restaurant Week
As the 2026 Annapolis Restaurant Week nears its end, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill tells Patch how its first time participating went.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — As Annapolis Restaurant Week nears its final days, one eatery that joined the festivities for the very first time tells Patch what its experience has been like.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill opened its Annapolis location at 2500 Riva Road back in April 2025.
While it had been invited to participate in events at the time, it was just too soon for the newly established restaurant, according to Stephen Loftis, the chief brand officer for Firebirds Wood Fired Grill.

"But as we rolled around to this calendar year, it's something that we certainly wanted to be involved with," Loftis told Patch. "Being part of the community and supporting the local endeavor is very, very important to us."
"We've got kind of a senior living facility not too far away, and we're getting folks actually come over on a regular basis and becoming friends," he added.

The menu specifically designed for Annapolis Restaurant Week includes soups, salads, and a variety of desserts. For the main course, diners are given the option of a wood-grilled petite filet, honey-glazed, wood-grilled salmon, and a roasted chicken.
Of the three main courses, two have turned out to be competing favorites for guests: the wood-grilled petite filet and the honey-glazed, wood-grilled salmon.
To date, the feedback that the restaurant has received for its menu selection has been "extremely positive," according to Loftis.
"The Restaurant Week menu, in particular, has been very, very popular," he told Patch. "We look forward to really continue to participate moving forward."
But while Annapolis Restaurant Week officially comes to an end on Sunday, that doesn't mean the eatery is letting up on the innovation.
Loftis told Patch that new menus would be dropping on March 11, noting that the restaurant would also be kicking off a Jr. Chefs Kids Club to entice "the guest of the future."
The idea behind the program is to build a kind of cooking kit, where kids receive a cooking utensil every time they come into the restaurant — an apron, chef's hat, bowl, spatula, plus a t-shirt — and then make recipes at home with their parents.
"It's a fun, neat program, and, you know, we want to be there for kids as they continue to grow up," Loftis said.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday. For Sunday, diners are welcome from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
