• Fundraiser Aims To Save Millersville Steer Up For Auction (patch.com) — Annapolis resident Miles Kimbrough is leading a fast-growing fundraiser to save Carl, a well-known 1,400-pound steer from Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, from being sold for slaughter at the Anne Arundel County Fair in Crownsville. With more than $13,000 raised toward a higher $16,000 goal, Kimbrough plans to bid on Carl today and, if successful, move him to the Wild Kid Acres petting zoo in Edgewater for long-term care.

The event, now expanded to four Maryland locations, offers complimentary massages, facials, and other services and is supported year-round by the Harmony Foundation for patients and caregivers.
