1. IKEA's Plan And Order Branch In Annapolis To Close This Month (patch.com) — Annapolis shoppers will lose their local IKEA Plan and Order branch at Annapolis Harbour Center when it closes on Oct. 30, pushing customers to the College Park store instead. The small-format showroom and pickup site helped residents plan larger home projects and collect online orders, and affected employees are being offered relocation to other regional IKEA locations.

3. Celebrating the legacy of Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse (whatsupmag.com) — Annapolis' beloved Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse is being carefully preserved through a partnership between the city, Anne Arundel County, and the Annapolis Maritime Museum, with volunteers tackling everything from structural repairs to climate resiliency planning. 4. Anne Arundel County Council delays final vote on controversial zoning bill (wmar2news.com) — Anne Arundel County councilmembers meeting in Annapolis have delayed a final vote on Bill 61-26, a sweeping overhaul of county zoning rules that includes hotly debated food truck restrictions. After tackling 84 of about 150 amendments, they'll get one last chance to approve the amended bill on October 19 before it expires on October 23, leaving local businesses watching closely.
