• Maryland has the lowest health insurance prices in the country despite rate increases (harfordcountysun.com) — If you buy your own health insurance in the Baltimore region, expect unsubsidized premiums to rise in 2027, with a typical 40-year-old paying $9 to $89 more each month. State regulators say Maryland will still have some of the nation's lowest prices, and many residents may soften the impact through subsidies available on Maryland Health Connection.
