National Prescription Drug Take Back Day prevents medications from being misused and keeps pharmaceutical substances out of the environment.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Residents wanting to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications can drop them off at seven locations across Harford County Saturday as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The Harford County Office of Drug Control Policy, in partnership with the Harford County Sheriff's Office and local law enforcement agencies, will collect unwanted medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 24.
The event gives residents an opportunity to safely dispose of medications they no longer need rather than keeping them at home or throwing them away. No questions will be asked when medications are dropped off, according to county officials.
