Harford County is hosting a free workshop for business owners, “Planning for Business Continuity: Preparing for Ownership Transition and Retirement,” on Tuesday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the CONVERGE Center in Aberdeen.

“This session is designed to help business owners plan for the future and protect what they’ve built,” County Executive Cassilly said. “From succession planning to legal and financial considerations, participants will gain practical guidance to ensure stability, support their employees, and preserve the long-term value of their business.”

Topics will include:
• Evaluating succession and transition planning options
• Legal and financial considerations for ownership transfer
• Protecting operations, employees, and long-term value

Presented in partnership with the Harford County Chamber of Commerce’s Harford Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs (HYPE) Group, the workshop is part of the Harford County Department of Economic Development’s LevelUp Harford Business Workshop Series, which provides practical tools and expert guidance to help local businesses grow, adapt, and compete in today’s marketplace.

The event is free, but registration is required at bit.ly/LevelUpBizContinuity.

For those unable to attend or who want to catch up on previous workshops, recorded seminars are available online at harfordcountymd.gov/3960/LevelUp-Harford-Business-Workshop-Series. The LevelUp series is filmed and produced by HarfordTV, a valued partner in making these resources accessible to the business community.
