"I'm thrilled about the diverse lineup of authors and artists participating this year," said artisan Penny Comeau. "There's truly something for everyone—whether you're an art lover, book enthusiast, or just looking for something unique and special."

Among this year's featured artists is John Sauers, a Harford County Living Treasure whose artistic career spans more than 70 years.

Known for his landscape paintings inspired by the region's natural beauty, Sauers has earned recognition for his artwork and his work as a teacher and mentor to generations of artists.

The holiday sale also will feature writers specializing in children's literature, fantasy, romance, historical fiction and nonfiction.

Students from the Bel Air High School art department and Harford Community College art department also will have their artwork on display.

The event's new logo was designed by Keely Imai, one of the participating artists and graphic designers.

"The Holiday Gift Sale is about bringing our community together to celebrate the incredible talent of local authors, artists and artisans," David Jennings, chair of the Authors & Artists Committee, told Patch. "Visitors can meet the makers, discover something special and support the creative community while getting a head start on holiday shopping."

Organizers said the event offers shoppers an opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind holiday gifts while supporting independent creators and connecting with the people behind the artwork and books.

“The creative talent gathered in the Armory for this event is incredibly diverse, representing artists, artisans and authors of all ages. We welcome young families looking to add original art to their homes, shoppers searching for unique holiday gifts and children excited to meet our many children’s book authors. With so much to see and discover, we are anticipating more than 1,000 visitors this year," Jennings told Patch.
