Inmate Sentenced After Having Cocaine, Other Drugs In Harford County Detention Center

ABERDEEN, MD — A Harford County man has been sentenced after he was found with drugs while as an inmate at the county detention center, prosecutors announced Friday.

In 2024, Brandon Randall was found with controlled dangerous substances and intentions to distribute those drugs to other inmates while in the Harford County Detention Center, prosecutors said.

On July 7, Randall, 30, was sentenced to 28 years in prison with all suspended but 15 years to be served following his June 2025 conviction for controlled dangerous substance possession with intent to distribute cocaine, contraband with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of contraband in a place of confinement and two counts CDS possession not cannabis.

After Randall's sentencing, Harford County State’s Attorney Alison M. Healey said, “We have sent the message time and time again that we will not tolerate drug dealers distributing these poisons in our community. To do so while actively incarcerated on another offense shows an extreme disregard for the court, the detention center, and the law in general. If this defendant was so bold as to actively break the law while incarcerated, it was imperative to send the message that his continued criminal conduct would come with significant consequences.”
