1. Suspect Sought In Two Shoplifting Incidents In Bel Air (patch.com) — Bel Air residents are being asked to help Harford County Sheriff's Office identify a suspect linked to two August 2026 shoplifting incidents in town. Investigators say the person may drive a white Ford pickup truck and have released a photo, urging anyone with information to call the Northern Precinct tip line.
   

2. GoFundMe To Help With Funeral Costs Of Victim In Suspected Drunk Driving Crash (patch.com) — A Harford County man was killed in a suspected drunk driving crash early Sunday at Routes 152 and 147, a case handled by troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack. Friends have launched a GoFundMe to help his family cover funeral expenses, since they reportedly lack life insurance, and neighbors are being invited to contribute if they're able.
   

3. Harford County to host free workshop on Health Department requirements for businesses Sept. 22 (belairnewsandviews.com) — Harford County is inviting local entrepreneurs and contractors, including those in Bel Air, to a free September 22 workshop in Aberdeen on permits, inspections and Health Department rules. If you're planning a restaurant, food truck, or home contracting work, you'll hear directly from Health Department experts and can ask questions to avoid costly delays when opening or expanding.
   

4. Fr. Gregory Gilbert appointed Dean of the Archdiocesan Cathedral (orthodoxobserver.org) — A priest who once led a local Orthodox community in Bel Air has been appointed dean of the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City. The announcement highlights his previous service in Maryland and other states, along with his extensive theological education and leadership experience within the Greek Orthodox Church.
