• Court Temporarily Halts USDA's Planned Reorganization (food-safety.com) — Residents should know a federal court has temporarily halted the USDA’s reorganization that would decommission the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center and move its research programs out of Beltsville. The stay lasts at least until December 11, 2026, giving Congress time to decide whether to keep restrictions on USDA’s relocation plans that could affect local jobs and long-running research work.
