This Bank Just Held Its Grand Opening
A recently relocated Citibank base held its ribbon-cutting ceremony in Bethesda, marking its continued expansion in the region.
MONTGOMERY CO., MD — A ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held by Citibank in Bethesda.
The ceremony was held Wednesday at 8101 Bethesda Ave., now the home of a 2,549-square-foot, open-floor branch.
Customers will be able to do business in a space that offers a "range of personal banking, small business, lending and wealth services," a spokesperson told Patch.

In attendance at the event were three House delegates representing the county and State Sen. Sara Love. The county officials included Dels. Sarah Wolek, Teresa Woorman and Marc Korman.

"Citibank is a part of our community. It is such an important part of our state," Love said in a statement. "Affordability and housing are two really big topics, and to hear that Citibank was named the #1 U.S. Affordable Housing Lender for the 15th consecutive year. So thrilled to have you all here."
The event marked the bank's continued expansion in the region, and comes weeks after it held the grand opening for another branch on Bethesda Row.
