• Series of burglaries hits at least six homes near Rosslyn (arlnow.com) — Police are investigating at least six related burglaries and attempted burglaries in the North Highlands and Radnor/Fort Myer Heights neighborhoods just outside Rosslyn, all reported between Friday afternoon and early Sunday. A male suspect reportedly entered or tried to enter multiple homes, sometimes stealing small items, and officers have stepped up patrols while asking anyone with information to contact Arlington County police or Crime Solvers. 
• Art Focus: Once a year, the sun completes Nancy Holt's vision at Dark Star Park (arlnow.com) — Once a year, Dark Star Park in Rosslyn briefly aligns exactly as artist Nancy Holt intended, and you can watch it happen this Saturday, Aug. 1, around 9:32 a.m. The park’s concrete spheres and poles will cast shadows that line up with in-ground markers, commemorating Rosslyn’s founding and turning a familiar public space into a living artwork tied to the sun.
