| On June 4, 2026, some of the 8th graders in SIA English at Rochambeau, the French International School, will attend the opening of their exhibit "Footsteps Toward Freedom: Honoring Local Lives" at the Josiah Henson Museum on Old Georgetown Road. They have created an artistic exhibit and a website to celebrate the lives of those whom history has forgotten, individuals who once walked right where we live. The exhibit will become part of the museum's permanent collection and will be available for viewing through September, 2026. The museum is open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. |
