Char'd Is Days Away From Opening First MD Restaurant

After operating a food truck in Gaithersburg, Char'd is officially opening its first brick-and-mortar site in Maryland this week.

BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, MD — The Char'd burger restaurant is officially opening its very first brick-and-mortar location in Montgomery County this week.

While the restaurant previously operated out of a food truck in Gaithersburg, visitors can now make a pit stop for a Char'd burger or shake in North Bethesda, at 11881 Grand Park Ave., starting on Thursday.

Although everyone who attends the Char'd grand opening will be given a free cup of hot chocolate, only the first 50 guests will receive a custom tote bag.

Once officially open to the public, Char'd will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Saturday to Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursdays.

For Fridays, the doors will remain open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.

The Grand Park Avenue location being taken over by Char'd was previously the home of BurgerFi, which closed in 2025 after spending over six years at the venue. Its permanent closure followed Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings in September 2024.
