Man Dead After Crashing Into Tree In Montgomery County

A second person was taken to the hospital in critical condition following the crash, police said.

BETHESDA, MD — A man is dead after the car he was driving crashed into a tree in Bethesda.

According to Montgomery County police, the crash occurred just after midnight on Saturday in the 7100 block of Glenbrook Road.

Police said the man was driving a Toyota Venza on Glenbrook Road when, for reasons under investigation, the vehicle left the road, struck a pole and then a tree.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, a passenger in the car was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
