Shooting Death At MoCo Senior Living Facility Deemed A Homicide

The case of an 87-year-old man fatally shot Saturday at a Potomac senior living facility is being investigated as a homicide, police said.

BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, MD — A homicide investigation is underway in Potomac after Montgomery County police found a man fatally shot inside a senior living facility.

The Montgomery County Police Department said in a Monday release that officers were called to the Cogir Potomac Senior Living facility just after 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The release states the call was made for a "report of a code." NBC4 reported paramedics were alerted to the building for a man who was in cardiac arrest with "secondary trauma."

Despite life-saving measures, the man identified as 87-year-old Robert Fuller Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Fuller was shot and that he had suffered head trauma.

Fuller's body was transferred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the official cause and manner of death.

No suspect has been identified in the case.
