Smoke, Explosion Linked To Blown Transformer: Fire Officials
An explosion was heard Saturday after an electrical issue was reported at the Intelligence Community Campus-Bethesda facility.
BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, MD — Emergency crews responded Saturday to reports of smoke and an explosion at the Intelligence Community Campus-Bethesda facility.
Officials were called to the scene at 4600 Sangamore Road around 3:15 p.m.
Details released by the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the incident was a blown transformer located in a substation.
