D.C. Halloween Party Shooter From Upper Marlboro Sentenced
A 20-year-old Upper Marlboro man has been sentenced in a 2025 Halloween party shooting in Washington, D.C., that injured five.
UPPER MARLBORO, MD — A Prince George's County man has been sentenced in a Halloween party shooting that happened last fall in Washington, D.C.
Langston Wedge, 20, of Upper Marlboro has been sentenced to 10 years in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release. The court denied without prejudice the defense's request for a sentence under the Youth Rehabilitation Act.
Wedge pleaded guilty on April 6 to two counts of aggravated assault while armed and one count of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence in D.C. Superior Court.

According to the evidence, in the early morning of Nov. 2, 2025, Wedge and a group of friends got into fight with others outside the Power Nightclub at 2335 Bladensburg Road Northeast. Power Nightclub was hosting a Halloween-themed costume event. The event was crowded and some celebrants spilled out into a line on the sidewalk in front of the club, court documents stated.
At 1:47 a.m., Wedge started shooting wildly toward the crowd and panicked attendees scattered and ran for cover. During the shooting, five people and a vehicle were hit by bullets. One victim was shot in the leg. A second victim was shot through the back and the upper arm and continues to experience pain and discomfort from his injury, evidence showed.

Two victims were each shot through the thigh. One victim was shot through the right side of his chest and lost a considerable amount of blood, spending three days in the ICU with a punctured lung, evidence showed.
Prince George’s County Police arrested Wedge in November 2025. At the time of his arrest, Wedge had in his possession a Glock 26 .9mm handgun with a magazine capable of holding 30 rounds of ammunition. Ballistics evidence showed that the gun in his possession was the firearm used to shoot the five victims at the nightclub two weeks earlier, court documents showed.
