Driver Fatally Shot In Road Rage Incident

An Upper Marlboro man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a Brandywine man in a road rage incident, according to police.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — A driver is dead and an Upper Marlboro man in jail after police say 33-year-old Polo Shaw fatally shot the man in a road rage incident.

On April 10 around 4:35 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 4700 block of Branch Avenue where they found a driver inside his car with a gunshot wound. Darian Ragland, 39, of Brandywine was identified as the driver. He died at the scene.

During their investigation, detectives identified 33-year-old Polo Shaw of Upper Marlboro as the shooter. Authorities obtained a warrant for his arrest and with the help of the emergency service steam, Shaw was taken into custody.

The suspect and victim did not know each other, police said.

Shaw has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, as well as related charges. He's in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
