ICE Arrests Suspected Gang Member, Undocumented Immigrants In Upper Marlboro

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Two undocumented immigrants have been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers after they were dismissed by the Prince George's County Detention Center, officials announced.

According to ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Baltimore, one of the men is a suspected Tren de Aragua gang member. ICE officers found and arrested the two men last month during what they said were lawful vehicle stops in Upper Marlboro last month.

The men have been identified as Yeferson Jose Canamo-Jordan, a 28-year-old Venezuelan national and suspected TdA gang member, and Felipe Fernando Reymundo, a 23-year-old Guatemalan national. 

“Sanctuary policies continue to disregard U.S. immigration law and put communities at risk by releasing illegal aliens prone to criminal activity into our communities,” ERO Washington Field Office Director Robert Guadian said this week. “By choosing not to honor ICE detainers, county jails give us no option but to conduct more arrests in the community rather than in the safe and controlled environment of a jail. ICE will continue to uphold our nation’s law and hold illegal aliens accountable for unlawfully entering the U.S.”

The two men have prior criminal charges, ICE stated.

Canamo-Jordan unlawfully entered the U.S. in August 2022 but was paroled by U.S. Border Patrol. He was convicted later for driving without a valid license and recently charged with assault, ICE said.

Reymundo unlawfully entered the U.S. at an unknown date and location without being inspected, admitted or paroled. He has a record of several arrests since 2025 for charges including arson, malicious destruction of property, trespassing and motor vehicle theft, ICE noted.
