Prince George's Man Convicted Of Sexually Abusing 11-Year-Old
A Prince George's man has been convicted of sexually abusing an 11-year-old left in his care.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Prince George's County man faces prison time after being convicted of sexually abusing an 11-year-old child.
Kevin Smith has been convicted of one count of sexual abuse of a minor and four counts of sex offense in the third degree for sexually abusing an 11-year-old child that was in his care.
"Smith exploited a position of trust within the victim’s family and repeatedly abused the child while serving as a caretaker," explained Tara Jackson, Prince George's County State's Attorney.

Smith's sentencing has been scheduled for Aug. 28.
