Man Dies 2 Days After Crash With Vehicle In Clinton
A 60-year-old Clinton man two days after being hit by a vehicle while he was in the road. Detectives are investigating.
CLINTON, MD — A 60-year-old Clinton man was hit by a vehicle Sept. 28 and died two days later at the hospital, police announced Friday.
Around 6 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Surratts Road and Lormar Court for a report of a crash involving a person. Officers found Gary Shifler in the road with trauma. He was taken to the hospital where he died Sept. 30, according to police.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the involved vehicle was traveling in the westbound lane on Surratts Road, when for reasons now being investigated, the driver hit Shifler who was in the road. The driver remained at the scene and was uninjured.
