Man Found Shot In His Vehicle In Hyattsville

HYATTSVILLE, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Sunday morning in Hyattsville.

Around 4:15 p.m. Sept. 6, Prince George's police officers were called to the 2200 block of Lewisdale Drive for a report of a shooting. They found 33-year-old Brian Vasquez Rodriguez of Adelphi sitting in the driver's seat of his vehicle with a gunshot wound, according to police.

Officers administered first aid, but Rodriguez died at the scene.

Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive.
