Sentencing Set For Suspect Who Threatened Police Officers
Danielle James will be sentenced in October after being convicted of illegally having a gun and threatening police officers.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A jury has convicted Danielle James of illegal possession of a firearm after a crime of violence and related firearm offenses after she threatened police officers in August 2025, officials announced.
According to the Office of the State's Attorney is Prince George's County, when Prince George's County police officers were investigating an unrelated incident in August 2025, James approached them and threatened an officer who had previously arrested her in relation to another firearm case.
As offers approached her vehicle, they saw a handgun with an extended magazine sitting on the front scene. James took off and investigators executed a search warrant at her home where they found a handgun matching the firearm officers saw sitting in her vehicle, according to prosecutors.

James has prior felony convictions including robbery and multiple firearms offenses, the county attorney's office stated. She will be sentenced Oct. 23.
The county attorney's office stated that James faces a maximum of 28 years in prison with a minimum of five years mandatory without parole.
