Woman Killed By Falling Tree During Storms
A woman was killed in Upper Marlboro during Thursday night's storms after a tree fell on her, according to police.
UPPER MARLBORO, MD — A woman was killed after a tree fell on her during Thursday night's storms.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called to the 11700 block of North Marlton Avenue for a report of a person trapped beneath a tree. The call came in around 8:42 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a woman pinned underneath the fallen tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police department.

Thunderstorms blew through the area Thursday night with damaging winds, downed trees and power outages occuring across the DMV.
PGPD officials have not yet released the identity of the woman killed in Upper Marlboro.
