Woman Killed When Car Crashes Into Utility Pole
A Fort Washington woman died after police say the vehicle she was riding in veered off the road and hit a utility pole.
SUITLAND, MD — A 54-year-old Fort Washington woman died early Saturday morning in a single vehicle car crash.
On May 24 around 3 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Suitland Road and Allentown Road for a report of a crash.
Officers found Marcia McNair as a passenger in a vehicle with trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, also a woman, was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was traveling eastbound on Suitland Road approaching Allentown Road, when for reasons now being investigated, her vehicle hit a utility pole.
