Help Needed As Supplies 'Critically Low' At Pet Food Bank
The Pet Food Bank ran by the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center is facing critically low supplies. Here's how you can help.
COLUMBIA, MD — Due to an influx of pets at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center and a growing need for assistance from the Pet Food Bank, donations are needed to help replenish their low supplies.
The adoption center's Pet Food Bank is in critical need of cat food, cat litter and dog food. Donations can be made through the adoption center's Amazon wish list or dropped off at the adoption center at 8576 Davis Road in Columbia.
The county's Pet Food Bank allows the county's animal control to help pet owners care for and feed their pets during challenging times, instead of surrendering or rehoming them. The pet owners are often on a fixed income, between jobs or facing other financial strains, the county adoption center stated.
