• Road Crossings, Path Connectors Planned For Columbia Neighborhood (patch.com) — Columbia residents are invited to a Sept. 15 public meeting to review plans for new pedestrian crossings and shared-use path connections in the Hickory Ridge neighborhood. The session will also cover a feasibility study for adding pedestrian and bicycle facilities along Cedar Lane, with all discussions held at The Hawthorn Center in Columbia.
   

• Columbia residents, researchers urge MDE to block recycling lab permit (wbaltv.com) — Residents and scientists in Columbia are pressing Maryland environmental regulators to deny an air quality permit for W.R. Grace's plastic recycling research project, citing health and noise concerns near the plant. The company and state officials insist emissions meet standards and include extra protections, setting up a key decision that could shape neighborhood air quality and industrial activity.
