“Walk for Our Stars is a celebration of our students, families, staff, alumni, and community partners. What makes it special is that it reflects who we are as a school, a community built on belonging and a belief in every student,” Cedar Lane School Principal Christine Johnson said.
Johnson said she hopes the event gives participants a better understanding of the school and its students.
“Our students demonstrate resilience, joy, determination, and countless successes every day,” she said.
Johnson also emphasized the annual event's broader message of inclusion.
“I also hope people experience the power of inclusion and community. Whether someone is walking, rolling, volunteering, sponsoring, or cheering from the sidelines, they become part of something bigger, a celebration of belonging and the belief that every student deserves opportunities to thrive,” she said.
The event is open to the public.
Registration is $15 and can be completed online in advance or in person the morning of the walk.
