City Police Report for Thursday (wcbcradio.com) — Cumberland Police reported several recent arrests, including multiple bench warrants, a trespassing case at the Frederick Street parking garage, and burglary-related arrests on East Harrison Street. Officers also handled a disorderly conduct incident on Queen City Drive. All cases involve Cumberland residents and resulted in either detention or release pending trial.

Cumberland woman, 78, charged after Fort Avenue assault investigation (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A 78-year-old Cumberland woman has been charged with second-degree assault following a June 2 incident reported in the Fort Avenue area. Police say she was served a criminal summons on June 9 and released pending trial. The case stems from a Cumberland investigation completed by local officers.

Cumberland woman jailed after assault and resisting arrest charges (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A 21-year-old Cumberland woman was arrested early Tuesday after officers responding to Waverly Terrace reported finding an assault in progress. Police say she resisted being handcuffed before being taken into custody and sent to Central Booking. She is being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center on second-degree assault and resisting arrest charges.

5. Marc Warren rides again for Jana Marie Foundation (statecollege.com) — A long-distance cyclist is once again riding 150 miles from Pittsburgh to Cumberland on July 14 to raise money for youth mental health and suicide-prevention programs. The ride, which ends with a celebratory finish in Cumberland, has already surpassed its initial fundraising goal and now aims even higher. Residents can support the effort online while cheering a 70-year-old rider’s determination.
