• 'Light the Night' Tribute for Fallen Firefighters Tribute to Begin April 26 (firehouse.com) — Emmitsburg will again host the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend May 2–3, honoring 204 firefighters who died in the line of duty. Leading up to the ceremonies, communities nationwide are invited to “Light the Night” by turning landmarks, firehouses, and even front porches red to show families their loved ones’ sacrifices are remembered.
