• Weekend shooting death brings homicide total to 4 victims this month in Essex (wmar2news.com) — A woman was fatally shot early Sunday on Woodrow Avenue in Essex, marking the fourth homicide in the community this month and heightening safety concerns for nearby residents. Neighbors describe feeling increasingly uneasy about late-night returns home, while others say they're trying to carry on as usual. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
