• Rabid Beaver Found Dead At Montgomery Co. Park (patch.com) — Gaithersburg residents are being warned after a dead beaver found in Seneca Creek State Park tested positive for rabies, prompting ongoing closures near Berryville Road. Officials are still unsure if it's the same animal that recently attacked a 10-year-old at the park, but they stress that beaver attacks remain extremely rare, with only a few cases reported in Maryland over the past decade.
