Owners must sign liability waivers, and affected local businesses can now seek SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans to cover operating costs while the structural emergency continues to disrupt daily life.
   

• Governor Moore Announces Approval of SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans for Anne Arundel County Businesses Affected by Empire Towers Structural Emergency (maryland.gov) — Businesses in Glen Burnie can now get direct help after the Empire Towers structural emergency, with an SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center opening at the county's emergency management office on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. Eligible small businesses and nonprofits may apply for low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans, with deferred payments and on-site SBA staff ready to walk owners through applications over the coming weeks.
   

• Glen Burnie motorcyclist dies in fatal crash, police say (capitalgazette.com) — A 42-year-old man from Glen Burnie has died after his motorcycle collided with a car at Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and East Maple Road in Linthicum, a route many local drivers use. Anne Arundel County police say the motorcyclist struck a turning Nissan and later succumbed to his injuries, with the Crash Reconstruction Team continuing to investigate the circumstances.
