Input Sought From Residents Regarding Public Art Installation At Bus Stop

Residents and business owners are asked to take a 2-minute online survey about a public art installation set for a bus shelter.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Residents are asked to weigh in on a proposed piece of art to be installed near a bus stop outside the Family Dollar on Revolution Street.

"If you ride here, live nearby or pass through often - your input matters," city officials said.

Residents can take a two-minute online survey and help shape the design of the bus stop. An artist named Ana Mengote Baluca has been commissioned to create a sculptural piece of art at the new bus shelter.

The survey closes March 8. It is meant to be answered by Havre de Grace residents, business owners and regular visitors.

"Although I’m not from Havre de Grace, I believe public spaces should reflect the people who use them every day. As a participatory artist and designing, it is part of my design process to co-design with the community that I'm serving. I'm gathering input from residents, riders, business owners and neighbors to better understand what this bus stop needs to serve your community well," the artist stated.
