• Havre de Grace announces partnership to clean up abandoned veteran cemeteries (cbsnews.com) — Havre de Grace is launching a major cleanup of abandoned cemeteries, especially those where Black Civil War veterans are buried, under a new executive order from Mayor William Martin. Partnering with the Sergeant Alfred B. Hilton Foundation, the city will research records, survey gravestones, and clear overgrown sites like Johnson Hill Cemetery so residents can properly honor local heroes.
