New Nothing Bundt Cakes in Hyattsville is a Family Affair

With locations in Arlington (VA), Cockeysville and Dundalk, Ed Ortiz is excited to share joy with more of the area. With the support of his wife Joanna and two kids, Ortiz explains that the passion for Nothing Bundt Cakes is a family affair. “A few years ago, my daughter introduced me to the cakes. I had no idea that moment would end up changing our lives!” recalled Ortiz. “My son is involved and has learned everything from baking and frosting to leadership and guest experience, and my amazing wife has been alongside us every step of the way.”

Located in a mall setting (Mall at Prince George’s), Ortiz and his partners, Javed Aswani and Shehzaan Chunara, are excited to reach even more people who may not have heard of Nothing Bundt Cakes. “Hyattsville is vibrant, diverse, and full of energy, and being inside a shopping mall gives us the opportunity to be part of people’s everyday lives—whether they’re celebrating something special or just taking a break from their day,” continued Ortiz. “We’re creating a place where moments are made and shared and we can’t wait to celebrate with the community during a grand opening celebration.”

  • 10:30 a.m. - Ribbon Cutting with the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce
• Saturday, June 20
  • 9 a.m. – Free Bundtlets for a Year! The first 50 guests age 18+ will receive a “Free Bundtlets for a Year” punch card, which can be redeemed for one Bundtlet per month for 12 months at the Hyattsville, MD bakery.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is located at 3500 East-West Highway, Suite 1416 and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The luscious cakes are baked daily using the finest ingredients, including real eggs, butter and cream cheese, in 40 unique designs and 10 delicious flavors.
