📰 News we're reading

• 11 25th anniversary ceremonies in the DMV area (2026) (washingtonparent.com) — Kensington residents can join a candlelit 9/11 25th-anniversary remembrance at the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department memorial on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. The event, held at Connecticut Avenue and Plyers Mill Road, is one of several free, family-friendly ceremonies across the region where people can quietly honor victims, survivors, and first responders.

• New MARC Train Service Will Connect Montgomery County, Baltimore (patch.com) — Kensington riders will soon get a one-seat MARC trip to Baltimore starting Sept. 28, with new weekday trains linking town directly to Camden Station. The adjusted Brunswick and Camden Line schedules are designed to cut travel times dramatically, so commuters should review the updated timetables before the changes take effect.
