2 MD Men Charged After 'Large Amount' Of Drugs Found In Stolen Car: Police

The Thursday arrest was made after police were alerted to a stolen vehicle in Hanover.

HANOVER, MD — Two men are facing numerous charges over a stolen vehicle that was found to be carrying a "large amount" of illicit drugs, authorities said Friday.

Anne Arundel County Police said officers were alerted to a stolen vehicle in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

At the scene, investigators arrested Troy Anthony Pendleton, 25, and Juwan Da’mon Williams, 29. Pendleton is a resident of Gwynn Oak, whereas Williams is listed as having a Baltimore address.

A search of the stolen vehicle returned not only currency but also "a large amount of CDS [controlled dangerous substance], including suspected heroin/fentanyl mix," according to police.

Court records show Pendleton and Williams face a combined total of 18 charges, which range from unlawful taking of a motor vehicle to theft under $25,000, as well as drug-related distribution and possession charges.

Pendleton was released on his own recognizance Friday and is expected back in court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 4.

Williams remained held on bond, but is scheduled for a bail hearing Friday.
