Baltimore Man Charged Over Road Rage Shooting In Anne Arundel Co.: MSP

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Brandon Allison, a 40-year-old Baltimore man, is facing several charges over what Maryland State Police are calling a road rage incident.

State Police said in a release that the incident took place shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday near the Interstate 695 Outer Loop, just before state Route 295 in Anne Arundel County.

Authorities responded to the scene for reports of a shooting. However, preliminary findings revealed that the incident aligned more closely with a road rage altercation.

MSP said Allison had fired a shot toward a Honda Accord as he was driving a Chrysler Pacifica, striking the rear driver-side window. The Honda driver did not suffer any injuries.

With assistance from Anne Arundel County Police and investigators with the Highway Gun Crimes Initiative, authorities were able to track Allison to a warehouse off Brandon Woods Boulevard.

While Allison was taken into custody without incident, State Police said a search of his vehicle returned a loaded .40-caliber handgun.

Officials have not said what prompted the shooting.

Court records show that Allison is facing seven charges, including second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault, among other misdemeanor gun charges.

He remains held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. To date, no additional court appearances have been scheduled in the case.

The investigation remains ongoing.
