Pop Mart To Open 1st Anne Arundel Co. Store This Summer

HANOVER, MD — Pop Mart, a brand popularly known for its collectibles, will open its first full-scale store this summer in Anne Arundel County.

Officials told Patch that the store would be situated at Arundel Mills, near the shopping mall's dining pavilion. Residents can find the mall at 7000 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover.

The announcement comes after the mall saw "strong" customer demand from Pop Mart's Robo Shop vending machine near the LEGO store.

"The new location will feature exclusive collectibles, immersive displays and limited-edition releases, offering Maryland fans the ultimate shopping experience," a spokesperson told Patch.

Details regarding a specific opening date or possible store hours were not immediately available.

Gene Condon, the Arundel Mills general manager, described Pop Mart's expansion as a "natural next step."

"This brand creates a highly engaging experience that resonates with today’s shopper and reinforces our position as a destination for what’s new and next," Condon said.

The store opening will mark Pop Mart's third retail store in Maryland, with locations at the Towson Town Center and the Mall in Columbia.

In Anne Arundel County, Pop Mart continues to operate two vending machines at the Annapolis Mall.
