His jury trial, on multiple assault and firearm charges, was delayed one day so the assigned prosecutor and a key witness could be available in Baltimore City Circuit Court.

He bought both tickets at the Royal Farms on Red Run Boulevard and now plans to use the windfall to pay bills and help fund his retirement after four decades as an aerospace machinist.

• Parkville man sentenced for drug trafficking, firearm charges (somdnews.com) — Federal prosecutors say a Parkville man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for supplying cocaine and carrying firearms in support of a multistate drug ring that operated partly through the Baltimore region. Investigators followed one courier from Virginia to a meeting in an Owings Mills shopping center parking lot, later seizing multiple kilograms of cocaine, cash, and loaded guns.
