Monthslong Closure Coming To Baltimore County Park

Officials say the closure is expected to run until November for renovation work.

PERRY HALL, MD — A monthslong closure for a Perry Hall community park gets underway in September for renovation work.

Starting Sept. 14, the Angel Park playground at 9650 Honeygo Blvd. will temporarily close to the public until Sunday, Nov. 1.

Officials say the closure at the community-built park will allow the workers to resurface the site with a "special rubber surface."

"Thousands of children have enjoyed the past 10 years of play and its usage has taken a toll on the surface," reads a statement from organizers. "It can no longer be patched or repaired piece by piece — it is in need of a total repair."

The project is being carried out with the support of Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier and Councilman David Marks.
