Rick Whitehead Jazz Trio
Special Guest: Jean-Michel Bernard
An evening of world-class jazz with a cinematic twist!
Join the Rick Whitehead Jazz Trio—Rick Whitehead on guitar, John Previti on bass, and Nick Ruggieri on drums—with special guest French pianist and film composer Jean-Michel Bernard.
Known for their effortless interplay, deep swing, and dazzling musicianship, these three D.C.-area favorites welcome a pianist whose music bridges jazz, classical virtuosity, and the magic of the movies.
A former member of Ray Charles’s quartet, Bernard composed the scores for Michel Gondry’s The Science of Sleep and Be Kind Rewind. His inventive arrangements and expressive playing bring familiar film themes and original compositions to life.
