Home Depot Design Center Closes MD Site
The Home Depot Design Center has closed in Rockville, one of three such stores in the country.
ROCKVILLE, MD — The Home Depot Design Center has closed at 12087 Rockville Pike, one of three such stores in the country.
The Store Reporter noted the closing of the upscale store, which operated for five years at the Montrose Crossing shopping center. The Design Center opened during the pandemic as people focused on remodeling their homes.
The defunct store had two floors of luxury kitchen and bath showrooms featuring premium appliances and fixtures, the website said.

While the Rockville store was still listed on Home Depot's website Friday, users were redirected to the company's home page.
The store opened in September 2020 in the space previously used by Golf Galaxy, The MoCo Show reported.

A sign at the store says: “The Home Depot Design Center will be permanently closed effective January 13, 2026 and will not re-open,” the U.S. Sun said.
