• Incense Ashes Cause $2M In Damages After Apartment Fire: MCFRS (patch.com) — Rockville residents are dealing with the aftermath of a major overnight fire at the Miramont Apartments on California Circle, where improperly discarded incense ashes sparked a blaze causing about $2 million in damage. More than 75 firefighters responded as the fire spread between floors, displacing a dozen residents and sending a maintenance worker to be treated for smoke inhalation.

• Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Club Moves from Gaithersburg to Rockville (mocoshow.com) — Tottenham Hotspur fans now have a new home base in Rockville, with MoCo Spurs moving their watch parties to Silver Branch Brewing Rockville Beerworks on Calhoun Place. • Rockville woman says she'll donate $1,000 to county cops to clear AI prank charges (washingtontimes.com) — A 28-year-old Rockville woman who staged an AI-generated home-intruder prank on her husband has agreed to donate $1,000 to the Montgomery County Police Department in exchange for having related misdemeanor charges dismissed. Prosecutors say the prank triggered an eight-cruiser emergency response, and the payment is meant to cover the public cost of that call-out. She must complete the donation within 90 days before a November court date.
