1. MoCo Panel Books Public Forum On Policing, Public Safety (patch.com) — Rockville residents will have a chance to share their views on policing and public safety at a Montgomery County Advisory Commission on Policing forum set for Sept. 14 in the County Council building. The listening session will gather input on the county's 2026-2030 police strategic plan, and residents can also submit feedback online if they cannot attend in person.
   

2. Update: EYA Says Rockshire Residential Project Will Continue With New Homebuilder (mocoshow.com) — Rockville's Village at Rockshire housing project is still moving forward, with developer EYA seeking a new homebuilder rather than abandoning the residential portion. Plans remain for 60 homes, including Moderately Priced Dwelling Units, plus retail, a park, and new connections to community amenities. Existing buyers will be transitioned to the new builder once finalized.
   

3. Mother and child struck by car in Montgomery County (fox5dc.com) — A mother and child were hit by a car Monday night in Rockville near Chapman Avenue and Twinbrook Parkway and taken to a trauma center, according to fire officials. The vehicle slid onto an embankment after the crash, which follows a deadly weekend for pedestrians across the D.C. region. Authorities have not yet released further details on their conditions.
   

4. Mom's Organic Market Banned Masks for Employees to Improve Customer Interactions. Now Workers Are Threatening to Quit (inc.com) — A grocery chain founded in Rockville, Mom's Organic Market, is facing backlash after banning employees from wearing medical face masks to "improve" customer interactions. Former workers have launched a campaign urging the company to reverse the policy, encouraging customers to mask up in solidarity and contact CEO Scott Nash to oppose the rule.
